R's Heart and R & M's Overall Health

I forgot to post this...

R went back to the cardiologist for a follow-up last week.

First let me say, that I hate that some people feel their time is more important than mine. R's appointment was at 9:00. We got there half hour early because we took H to school and just went from there. I knew I was early. I wasn't expecting to see the doctor early. However, when he didn't even show up to the office until 9:45 I was a little ticked. But did I say anything? No, because in situations like this I may talk the talk, I don't usually walk the walk.

Anyway, he said he couldn't hear the murmur/hole at all and that we should just consider it closed.

Yesterday, she went to her ped for her 4 month well-check. She is 13lbs 12 oz and 24 inches tall. That puts her in the 50% for weight and 25-50% for height. She jumped her curve...big time. She was in the 10-20% across the board and now she is basically 50%. She is a little chunk (Really, she is a BIG chunk. She weighs the same as her 6 month old cousin!). I wanted to take a picture of her, but when I went to get my camera the battery was dead. Maybe tomorrow. As for the rest of her...her ears are both cleared up and she is only battling a nasty cough. She got 4 immunizations and was not happy yesterday. But, she has slept for almost 24 hours today, only waking to eat.

M also went to the ped. He had his 15 month well-check. He is 21 lbs 10 oz and 31 inches tall. Low weight and average height. He got 2 immunizations and literally didn't even blink when they stuck him. They didn't phase him a bit. He has a nasty cough, but clean ears and lungs. He also cut 2 top molars and is working on a bottom one. He has not been a happy boy lately. Hopefully, that will clear up in the next week or so.

It is such a huge relief to know that your kids are healthy and growing how they should be. Now, if we could just get M to start saying more than just "Yeah." But, hey, at least he is agreeable!
